 The Thermok incorporates an internal bootloader which allows you to upload the newest firmware using a serial connection to your PC.

Step 1: Download Bootloader Software

Download PICdownloader.exe (364kB).

Step 2: Download Latest Firmware

Download thermok.HEX and save it somewhere where you can find it.

Step 3: Run Bootloader

  1. Double click on PICdownloader.exe.

  2. Select thermok.HEX using the "Search (F2)" box
  3. Select your serial port and set the speed to "9600"

    4. BE SURE TO CHECK THE EEPROM BOX! This isn't shown in our screenshots, but it is needed.

  4. Click the "Write (F4)" and turn on your thermok

  5. The firmware will be downloaded to the microcontroller. It will take approximately 30 seconds, during which time you will see the status bar progress.

  6. You should see your Thermok program and then it will restart using the firmware you just uploaded.
